―Mark Twain
Greetings,

Welcome to this week's Advisor Training newsletter. Our goal is to provide training, education and insights for those who adhere to our counter-cultural and sometimes counter-intuitive investment and business philosophy.
THIS WEEK'S PRO-TIP
Question from an Advisor

"Many of my clients have come from one referral source, a bank. They aren't referring me clients anymore and I'm worried they found another advisor."

  • Make a list of all the possible sources of referrals for your business (CPAs, estate attorneys, therapists, etc.).
  • Start generating your own leads organically, from content that you put out on your own. Get the basics in place: monthly email newsletter for clients, 10 calls to follow up on whoever opened the newsletter, website, two social media posts a week on the major channels (LinkedIn, Facebook, X.)
  •  Reserve two hours every three days for marketing and devote it to developing leads through the methods described above.
  •  Check progress after one month.
  •  If you aren't getting leads by that point, revise the plan until you are.

Forget about depending on anybody else and get Project Self Sufficiency in effect.
