It's not high enough.
Open rate should be 60-70% for client email newsletters.
- Shorten the subject line to 3-4 words.
- Use only one-syllable words in the subject line.
- Use an emotional word in the subject line ("Avoid retirement nightmare by doing Roth conversions.")
- Send out a survey to all email recipients asking them if the content is helpful, and what types of content they would prefer in the future.
