“Dopamine from information gathering is a dangerous drug. Your entire life will change the moment you stop looking for more information and start acting on the information you already have.”

Greetings,

Welcome to this week's Advisor Training newsletter. Our goal is to provide training, education and insights for solo/independent Advisors who adhere to our client-first, counter-cultural, and sometimes counter-intuitive investment and business philosophy.

THIS WEEK'S PRO-TIP
Question from an Advisor

"When we get the referral, what are some tips to acknowledge thinking of us? I struggle with gifts because they can be hit or miss."

Make them feel special by doing things that nobody else bothers with.

  • Call them and say thank you.
  • Leave a voicemail if they don't answer. They need to hear your voice saying the words, "thank you."
  • Send them a handwritten thank you note. Not an email, but a card in the mail. A Forever stamp costs $0.73 and it shows you took extra effort to walk to the mail box.

#11 ― Telegram Chatrooms
"No one is smarter than all of us.”
―Michael
We utilize two Telegram Chatrooms. Both are free and the first is open to all Advisors, even those not part of AFG.

1. The AdvisorFirst Dailies Chatroom is purely for training and education. We post 1 - 4 lessons per day.

2. The AdvisorFirst Mastermind Chatroom is for internal updates, news, announcements and to engage in discussions. This is where you can ask questions and provide answers. It is one of our most important resources as it encourages **cross-pollination of ideas from many disparate opinions**.
