We don't have to be smarter than the rest.

We have to be more disciplined than the rest."

Greetings,

Welcome to this week's Advisor Training newsletter. Our goal is to provide training, education and insights for solo/independent Advisors who adhere to our client-first, counter-cultural, and sometimes counter-intuitive investment and business philosophy.

If you're not yet part of our AdvisorFirst Group but you'd like to learn more, you can schedule a chat with me.
This is the 2-part very simple financial plan. Don't make this business more complicated than it needs to be.
Here are the 2026 IRA limits.

THIS WEEK'S PRO-TIP
Question from an Advisor

"How do I stay inspired to keep going when you feel like you’re talking to crickets?"

Very simple: get their attention.

  • Email every single person who has blown you off and say this: "Forgive me for being a nuisance but I've reached out a few times. Are you interested in moving forward or is this not a priority at the moment?"
  • Get a response.
  • If they don't respond, wait two weeks and then call and say the same message over the phone. Text or leave a voicemail if they don't answer.
  • If they don't respond, email them and say this: "I want to apologize, to sincerely apologize, for not being able to meet your needs. Is there any feedback as to where I fell short?"
  • Get a response.
  • If they don't respond, call them two weeks later and say the same message over the phone. Leave a VM or text if they don't answer.
  • If they don't respond to this, then email once last time and say this (subject line: " Close the file") " Forgive me for bugging you here but I haven't heard back and I've reached out twice. Should I close your file?"
  • Get a response.

Don't allow people to blow you off; it's bad for your self esteem.

Take control by always getting a response when you talk to someone; don't let it go and expect them to come around.

“None are more hopelessly enslaved than those who falsely believe they are free.”
―Johann Wolfgang von Goethe
